Rajasthani Besan Mirch
Hello readers.. I hope you are good and taking care of yourself. Let's make today easy and simple recipe. This is the Rajasthani Besan mirch. It's made of green chilli which is slightly thick in size and not spicy at all. The one which is also referred as bajji mirch( in South). And besan/ gram flour is roasted and tossed over it which gives a great flavour. Let's get started...
Ingredients needed:
1.Moti mirch-4-5
2.Besan -1/2 cup or 1/4 cup
3.Masalas:Achari masala: saunf( fennel seeds), nigella seeds( kalonji), jeera seeds, methi seeds( optional) , dry mango powder( amchoor powder) all acc to your taste, salt( as per taste), turmeric powder-1/2 tsp, kashmiri red chilli powder-1 tsp, red chilli powder-1/2 tsp, heeng-2 linch
4.Mustard oil-3-4 tsps.
Procedure:
1.Take the thick green chillies, wash them and slit them , remove the seeds and chop them.
2 . Heat the mustard oil till smoke comes out. Now add achari masala and heeng except amchoor powder.
3.After it's heated well, add the choped chillies saute them well till it gets little fried.
4.When the masala coats over the chillis, add gram flour(besan ) and mix it well. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder
5.Cook the gram flour and roast it well till aroma comes out.
6.You can heat more oil and add to the chillies.
7.Finally add amchoor powder and saute it well. Our besan mirch is ready.
8.You can eat it as side dish to paratha, chapati Or with dal rice, as a pickle.
Note:
1.You can first roast the gram flour separately and then also can add to the mixture.
2.The gram flour should be roasted well otherwise it will stick while you eat.
3.Cook it in mustard oil for the authentic taste.
