Sabudana khichdi: non-sticky recipe
Hey friend's, today I am going to share easy sabudana recipe which is non-sticky and easy to make. Sabudana Or sago pearls is extracted from tapioca root. These are mainly used in fasts and we can eat in breakfast as it's energetic. So I am sharing my version of sabudana. Let's begin..
Ingredients needed:
1.Sabudana/ sago pearls-1 cup
2.potato( boiled) -2( small size)
3.Green chilli-2( finely chopped)
4 Masalas: cumin seeds( jeera), oil, salt( fasting salt), kashmiri red chili powder-1 tsp, heeng-a pinch.
6.Coriander leaves- for garnishing
7.Roasted peanuts- 2-3 tsp
8.lemon juice-1/2 lemon
9.sugar-1 tsp
Procedure:
1.Soak the sabudana overnight or for 3-4 hrs. We have to wash the sabudana 2-3 times till the white powder is cleared. And then fill the water just above sabudana. Don't add more water otherwise it will become sticky.
2.Now add oil in a nonstick pan and roast the peanuts till golden brown and keep them aside.
3 . Now add cumin seeds, green chilli and heeng saute it well. Add pieces of boiled potatoes and roast them till a brown layer appears on them.
4.Add salt and saute them well. Now add soaked sabudana.
5 .Mix it well, add red chilli powder and cover it with a lid for 5-7 mins.
6.Now add sugar and lemon juice and again cover it for 5 mins.
7.Lastly add roasted peanuts and coriander leaves and our sabudana khichdi is ready.
8. Enjoy it with curd. It will be filling.
Thanks, meet you in next blog, till then take care. Be beautiful always.
Note:
1.Dont add more water while soaking the sago pearls otherwise it will stick and our khichdi wont come out good.
2.You can add veggies like carrot, capsicum.
3.You can even grind peanuts and add as powder. It will be equally tasty.
