Hello friends🙏🏻 Welcome to today's blog. Here I am explaining the lesser known street foods of India. We should try the street foods to explore the world.
Different parts of world has a cuisine and flavours of their own. The indian foods have a lip-smacking taste and burst of flavours.
Drool-worthy street foods are available in every street of an Indian City. Each street food has its own palette.
From Aloo-tikki of Delhi to Podi-Idli of South India to Khaman of Gujrat and Vada-Pao from Maharashtra and many more options are there in galore.
And each street food is prepared acc to different spices as the area and state changes.
In this blog, I am going to share not so popular street foods of India.
1.Kalari Kulcha (Jammu):
Its typically a fried kulcha which is the speciality of Jammu region. Its made of locally produced"Dogra" cheese which is known as "Kalari ". The molten cheese comes out of every bite of Kulcha.
2.Seekh Tujj:( Kashmir and ladakh):

3.Goli Baje( Mangalore):
Also known as Mangalore Bajji, these fried fritter will provide you the taste of usual pakoda but with a twist.The batter here is prepared with sour buttermilk( chach) to provide natural fermentation. The main flavours used here are onions, ginger and curry leaves.
4.Dhuska( Jharkhand):
Any kachori lovers here? If you can handle the spices from Jharkhand imbues, Dhuska is for you. Dhuska is the deep fried kachori with a paste of green peas and green chillies. Its served with hot and fiery tomato chutney.
5.Keemar Doi Bor( Bengal ):
Its a meaty version if dahi bada/ dahi bhalla. They are fried meat balls doused with sweet curd sprinkled with red chilli powder, dalchini( cinnamon powder) and methi ( fenugreek).
6.Punugulu ( Andhra pradesh):
Its made with thick dosa batter mixed with onions, curd, coriander leaves and deep frying in the form of crispy and crunchy pungulu snack.It looks like a pakoda.
7.Mohinga( Chennai):
Its a soothing burmese soup commonly sold in the streets of Chennai. Made with rice noodles and fish. Ita topped with fried onions, ginger and garlic.
8.Multani Moth Kachori:( Delhi- Chandni chowk)
Its a simple delectable snack made by adding moth dal, rice and topped with onion rings.
9.Baida roti( Mumbai):
Mumbai is mostly known for its vada pav , sev puri, ragda patties. Now its time to try this baida roti. Its a crispy fried patty suffused with spiced meats paired with onions and whipped eggs.
10.Tamatar ki chaat( Varanasi):
Varanasi or Benaras is known for its Ghats , holy pujas and river ganges. Tamatar ki chat is a chatpata chat with explosion of flavours, spicy, sweet, tangy, acidic and crunchy taste.
11.Palak Patta chaat(Delhi):
Made by deep frying leaves of spinach and topping it with curd and chutney. The palak / spinach which is used for making palak paneer can also be eaten as chat.
12.Mutton ghugni:( kolkata)
Its a Bengali brunch dish served with kachori along the roadside ghugni. Ghugni ia a spiced gram based curry with masala and onions. Its essentially a veg dish but here mutton chunks are added.
