Cabbage and Methi Paratha: Healthy recipe!
Hello blog memberss🙏🏻 Today I come up with another paratha recipe. Have you ever used cabbage in parathas? Ifyou have never used, just try this easy recipe. As we all know, in winter season we gr fresh cabbages and methi leaves. So lets try out this recipe. Lets begin..
Ingredients reqd:
1.Atta/ wheat flour -2 cups
2.Cabbage -1/2( shredded well/ grated)
3.Methi leaves -1 bunch( chopped well)
4.Green chilli-2(finely chopped)
5.Ginger( finely chopped)
6.Masalas :salt( as per taste), Turmeric powder-2 tsp, White til( sesame seeds)-1 tbsp, Cumin seeds-1 tsp, red chilli powder-1 tsp, garam masala -1 tsp, Amchoor powder/ dry mango powder-1 tsp, chat masala -1/2 tsp, ajwain seeds-1/2 tsp, heeng-2 pinches
7.Mustard oil for making stuffing.
8.Ghee/Oil for baking the parathas.
9.Besan/Gram flour -2-3 tsps
10.coriander leaves for flavour.
Preparation -( 20 mins)-serves 2 people
1.Firstly take the cabbage, grate it well, take the methi leaves( wash them well) and finely chop them. Finely chop the ginger and green chillis.
2.Now we will have to first knead the dough. Take 2 cups of atta, add salt, ajwain seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and 1 tsp ghee so that they become soft. Knead the dough well by using water. The dough should be same as of chapati.
3.Keep the dough aside for 10 mins to set. Now we will make the stuffing. Take a non-stick pan, add mustard oil, jeera seeds, green chilli and heeng. Sauté them well.. Add the shredded cabbage and chopped methi leaves.
4.Cook them by steam. Cover it for 5 mins.
5.After 5 mins, add the masalas like salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala. Mix it well.
6.Once the moisture is dried, add the besan. Cook the stuffing till the besan gets roasted well and all the moisture dries up. Our stuffing is ready.
7.Now check the dough, knead it again for 2 mins. Start rolling the dough balls. Now take the lemon size stuffing and keep in the centre of the rolled chapati.
8.Now again roll it as we make parathas.
9.Heat the tawa and place the parathaon it. Bake it in both sides till brown spots form.
10.Our cabbage methi paratha is ready.
11.Serve the parathas with curd and pickle. Our breakfast is sorted.
Note :
1.You cannot add the grated cabbage to the atta because while making the parathas, it will come out.
2.If while making the parathas, stuffing comes out, there is no need to worry. We are not perfect. Just enjoy it like that itself😜.
3.Add more spices acc to your taste.
So this is the Healthy breakfast recipe. Hope you will love this. Do try and post it in comment section.
