Monsoon Delight : Moong Fritters
Ingredients Reqd :
- Green gram/Sabut Moong-1 cup
- Onion- 1 medium size
- Garlic -3-4 pods
- Green chillies-1-2 (as per taste)
Masala Magic :
- Salt,Red chilli powder,Coriander powder,Roasted cumin powder,black pepper powder(2)
Garam masala,chat masala and some herbs /spices acc to your wish(create your own taste :)
- Curry leaves/ pudina leaves
- Corn flour/rice flour/bread crumbs or sooji (for binding)
- Grated ginger-1 inch
- Lemon juice-1 tspoon
Lets Learn:
1.Take 1 cup of green gram soak it overnight and next day grind it without water.
2. Add onion,garlic ,green chilies and all the masalas of your choice and mix it well.
3.Add ginger,curry leaves/pudina leaves and finally add lemon juice.If the mixture is sticky add bread crumbs or corn flour-2-3 tspoons.You can add potatoes also for binding.Boil 2 small size potatoes and grate them and add to the mixture .
4.Apply some oil to your palm,take some mixture on the palm and give the pattie the desired shape slowly.
5.Coat the cutlet with bread crumbs or sooji( It gives extra crunch to the pattie).
6.Add the oil to the pan.You can either shallow fry /deep fry or airfry it.
7.Just fry it til its golden brown on both sides.
8.Your "Moong Fritter" is ready
9. You can plate it with mint leaves/coriander leaves add curd and pomegranate seeds and enjoy it on a rainy evening..
10.Healthy snack is ready.:)
