Kashi Halwa: Happy Basant Panchami!
Hey blog members🙏🏻 Happy basant panchami.. Today is the beginning of new season. I am going to share the recipe of kashi halwa ( pumpkin halwa).It easy to make and you will all surely love the recipe. Lets start..
We need:
1.Pumpkin( yellow) or normal one.
Ghee -5-6 tsps
2.Milk -1/2 litre
3.Sugar-1/2 cup or acc to taste
4.Cardamom powder/ crushed elaichi -6 to 7
5.Dry fruits - almonds and raisins or acc to your wish..
Preparation( Time taken 45 mins: serves 2-3)
1.First take the pumpkin, peel the skin an d grate it with the help of grater.
2.Now take a heavy bottomed pan/ steel kadai, add 2 tsps of ghee and add the grated pumpkin.
3.Now let the moisture of the pumpkin dry, when it fully dries add 1/2 l milk and let it boil.
4.Once boiled, keep it on sim and let it cook until the milk is fully soaked up.
5.Stir it in between so that milk does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
6.Now once milk is soaked, add 2-3 tsps ghee, elaichi powder.
7.Now add sugar, once the sugar is added, it will melt and becomes watery.
8.Now keep stirring the halwa and our halwa is ready.
9.Top it with dry fruits and serve it hot.
This is the easiest sweet recipe. Even kidss will like this, the taste of pumpkin will be overshadowed by taste of elaichi.
Add a pinch of yellow food color if you like.
