Beetroot Rice - Healthy Dinner Recipe
Hello Blog Family! Hope all are doing well. We all have eaten beetroot as salad, dips and even add ons in many dishes. But have you eaten rice made of beet?
Beetroot can be eaten in many forms like salad or dips,rayta and even juice.
Try this recipe once and you will enjoy this power pack meal full of iron.
Lets start preparing:
Ingredients reqd:.
1.Beetroot -1 (chopped/ grated)
2.Onion-1 medium size
3. Tomato -1 medium size
4.Oil
5.Green chilies -2
6.Rice -1 cup
Coriander for garnishing
Masala -e- magic :
1.Cumin seeds( Jeera)-1 tspoon
2.Mustard seeds-1 tspoon
3.Red chilli powder
4.Garam masala
5.Ghee/oil
6.Khada Masala- cardamom, black pepper,bay leaves, star anise.
7.Salt - as per taste
Let's prepare( preparation time-25-30 minutes )
1.Take small grain rice or any rice of your choice and soak it for 10-15 minutes in water.
2.Take pressure cooker, add oil,khada masala, jeera, mustard seeds and add onion and fry them till golden brown
3.Add green chilis, tomato and beetroot and saute them well. Add salt, garam masala, red chilli powder.
4.Mix it well and add 2 cups water, close the lid of the cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles.
5.Beetroot rice is done. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
6.Serve it with rayta, chutney.
7.Healthy dinner is ready.
