Hello readers.. How are you? I hope you all are doing well. This morning, I was in a hurry to make breakfast, unfortunately there were very less veggies in my refrigerator. I usually make healthy breakfast options like upma/ poha/ vermicelli / uttapam. Today I thought of making paratha.
Simple paratha is so boring. I added some flavours and made it masala paratha.Its easy, less time taking and instant. I know many will say, paratha? Ye toh koi bhi bana lega! Yes But I am true in my blogs and give real recipes, I don't sugarcoat them, so let's get started..
Ingredients reqd:
1.Wheat flour/ Atta-2 cups
2.Salt( as per taste), Masalas:ajwain( carrom seeds), cumin seeds( jeera), Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp, red chilli powder-1/2 tsp, garam masala-1/4 tsp, green chilli-1( finely chopped), Chat masala-1/2 tsp.
3.Oil-2 tsp for that flakiness
4.Ghee for baking the paratha.
Procedure :Time taken: 10 mins for baking 15 mins for dough resting and 5-7 mins for kneading.
1.Knead the dough by adding all the masalas, you can even add kasuri methi/ coriander leaves.
2.Add Oil-2 tsps and knead it soft like chapati.
3.Keep it aside for 10-15 mins and then again knead it well.
4.Take a lemon size dough ball, roll it apply ghee, and sprinkle atta on the rolled chapati.
5.Take a knife and cut it horizontally as shown.
6.Now take all the horizontal pieces and roll it together in normal line and then join it as a circle and then again roll it again.
7.Don't overpress it and roll. If you overly roll it, the lacchas will not show up.
8.Heat a tawa, and place the rolled paratha over it.
9.Apply oil/ ghee and then bake the paratha well from both the sides.
10.Serve paratha with mixed pickle / ketchup / dahi.
11.This paratha is easy and can be instantly cooked. Do try the recipe.

The paratha has less lacchas as its made of wheat flour and doesn't contains more oil/ butter/ ghee. If you make it with maida/ refined flour you will see more lacchas coming out. 😄
