Hello readers 🙏🏻 I am sharing today Hyderabad's famous recipe which is Spot idly.
The spot idly in made on the spot and doesn't require idly cooker. Its made on a non-stick pan and covered with a lid and steamed. It requires minimum ingredients which we all will have in our homes.
In Hyderabad, spot idly is a popular street food which is served as a snack item. And its mainly served in evenings.
Let's begin the recipe.. Let's get started..
Ingredients needed:
1.Idly batter- acc to your family members.
2.Onion-1( finely chopped )
3.Tomato -1( finely chopped )
4.Beetroot-1 ( grated/ chopped)
5.salt, red chilli powder, podi( gun powder), green chilli.
6.gun powder is the main ingredient here.
Preparation : Time Taken:15-20 mins.
1.Firstly make the masala for the idly. Take a frypan, add oil, chopped, green chilli, onion, tomatoes.
2.Add salt, red chilli powder and Cook it well till mushy . Add beetroot also.
3.Add podi masala in the end and our idly masala is ready.
4.Now keep the idly batter ready.
5.Now divide the masala into 4 parts in the pan itself and pour 1 small ladle of idly batter on each part.
6.Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 15 mins. Like cook well on both sides.
7.Our spot idly is ready to be served hot with coconut chutney.
8. Top it with pure desi ghee and some more molagapodi( gunpowder).
