Lauki Laccha Paratha!- With wheat
Hello friends, yesterday I was craving for laccha parathas, but wanted to avoid refined flour(maida), so thought of making it with wheat flour( atta) and less oil/ ghee.
If you wanted to try something healthy, just try this recipe.
And we never like to eat lauki so today we made lauki ke lacche parathe! Yay.. ( bacche kha bhi lenge, parathe ke parathe ban gye😄😜)
Well we know the meme:
Ingredients reqd:
1.Lauki -1/2( you can take the quantity according to you)
2.Green chili-1
3.Ginger( finely chopped)-1/2 inch
4.Coriander leaves/ kasoori methi
Masala-e-magic :
Lauki-1/2( Bottle guard)-Soraikkai/Sorekai/Gummedikaya
1.Salt( as reqd)
2.Red chili powder -1/2 tbspoon
3.Turmeric powder-1/2 tbspoon
4.Jeera-1/4 tbspoon
5.Ajwain ( carrom seeds)-1/4 tbspoon
6.Amchoor powder( Dry mango powder)-1/4 tbspoon
7.Garam masala-1/4 tspoon
8.Ghee- for moin ( for flakiness).
9.Ghee for cooking
Preparation : ( 20-25 mins)
1.Take the lauki and grate it, squeeze it and take the extra water out.
2.Grate it well and add the masalas ( salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, jeera, ajwain, dry mango, garam masala)
3.Add the atta according to the qty of the mixture then add the green chili, ginger and coriander leaves.
4.Knead the dough after adding ghee-1tbspoon well.
5.Knead the dough without cracks and keep it aside for 10 mins.
6.Then after 10 mins, apply ghee on the dough and knead for 2-3 mins.
7. Make the atta balls as you make in the chapati but bigger in size and roll it as bigger as you want.
8.Now apply the ghee and dry atta mixture on it so that the lacchas will be visible after cooking.
9.Now make straight lines in the chapati as we do for namak para
Just straight lines, after making it just roll it and make it into dough ball.
10.Now again roll it slowly, dont press it hard because if you press too hard the lacchas will disappear.
11. Place it on the tawa and apply ghee and cook it well on both the sides and the lacchas will start appearing.
It will look like this.
12.Our lauki laccha paratha is done.
Enjoy it with dry sabzi/ chutney.
Note:
1.The lacchas will appear more if you apply more ghee, i wanted it healthy so made it with less ghee.
2.You can make it with maida or half maida half atta ( your choice ).
