Homemade Naan Recipe
Hello readers 🙏 Welcome to today's blog. As I am under the weather, I am not able to prepare the new dishes and share them. Yesterday somehow I was able to prepare Naan. Its prepared easily and tastes like restaurant style. Let's get started..
Ingredients needed:
1.Maida/ refined wheat flour-3/4 cup
2.Atta-1/4 cup
3.salt- as per taste
4.Sugar-1 tsp
5.Curd-1/2 cup
6.Baking soda-1/2 tsp
7.Ghee-2 tsp..
8.Sesame( til), kalonji( black onion seeds)and coriander leaves for garnishing.
Preparation: Time taken: 1 hr rest time. Made in 10 mins.Serves:2-3 people
Procedure:
1.Take a big bowl, add 3/4 cup maida and 1/4 cup atta.
2.Add curd, salt, sugar and baking soda.
3.Add ghee and mix them all together.
4.Now knead the dough with curd alone.
5.Knead it for like 5 mins. The dough should be smooth. Apply 1 tsp ghee on the dough and rest it for 1 hr.
6.Now after 1 hr, you should see that dough will be risen. Knead the dough for 2 mins and make lemon size balls and keep.
7.You will need a iron tawa.
8.Take 1 bowl water. Now take a dough ball and roll it big ( like oval shape) or any shape.
9.Now place some coriander leaves, til and kalonji and roll it so that they stick to the nan.
10.Now Apply water to the back side. This side should stick to the hot tawa.
11.The tawa should have a handle and should be medium - hot.
12.Now as you place the naan, the bubbles will form on the surface. Now with the help of handle, place the tawa upside down so that the naan gets cooked on the flame.
13.It should cook till many brown spots form. And when it cooks, it will be easily scraped off from the tawa.
14.After its scraped off, apply ghee.
15.Repeat the same procedure for all the dough balls. Our naan is ready to be served.
I served it with dal makhni. Panner butter masala/kadhai panner/ or any gravy will opt as a side dish for naan.
If any doubt, try it from above link.
Thanks for reading the blog and always stay beautiful.
